Video Guidelines

Video is relatable and the most digested form of content for getting a message out. It’s a great tool for explaining complex subjects and for putting a face behind the name. Below are some guidelines to help you along the way.

Bumper Logo


HD Bumper - Logo Only
When using an HD resolution, make the logo 743 x 173 pixels. The logo should be centered vertically and horizontally within the artboard.

HD Bumper - Logo and Headline
When using an HD resolution, make the logo 743 x 173 pixels. The headline should be set in Source Sans Semibold in size 14.5pt, center-aligned.


UHD Bumper - Logo Only
When using a UHD resolution, make the logo 1485 x 345 pixels. The logo should be centered vertically and horizontally within the artboard.

UHD Bumper - Logo and Headline
When using a UHD resolution, make the logo 1485 x 345 pixels. The headline should be set in Source Sans Semibold in size 29pt, center-aligned.


4K Bumper - Logo Only
When using a 4K resolution, make the logo 1624 x 378 pixels. The logo should be centered vertically and horizontally within the artboard.

4K Bumper - Logo and Headline
When using a 4K resolution, make the logo 1624 x 378 pixels. The headline should be set in Source Sans Semibold in size 31pt, center-aligned.

Facebook Video / Soapbox

Framing
When framing yourself in a Soapbox video, imagine cutting the frame up into thirds vertically and horizontally. This method is referred to as the rule of thirds in photography. Place your eyes on the top horizontal line and center yourself in the frame.

Microphone
Computer microphones are not always the best for recording videos. For better audio, use earbuds or a headset (show soapbox audio source + meter). Your audio source is located in the gear icon at the top-left of your screen.
Presentation
When displaying information in your Soapbox video, utilize Power Point or Keynote in presentation mode. This gives your video a clean & professional look when switching between streams.

Soapbox Do's and Don'ts

  • Use presentation mode with the screen you’re sharing
  • Apply BoomTown orange #FB8400 into the color space before releasing your video
  • Title your video
  • If its your first time making a Soapbox video, send a test to graham@boomtownroi.com ( @Grahambo on Slack ) before releasing your video to the public
  • After you get a few videos under your belt, assist your neighbor in learning the ways of the ((Force)), pay it forward!
  • Reward yourself for creating original video content that will undoubtedly help someone!
  • Don’t be afraid to ask how the Brand Team makes great presentations- it usually comes down to simple things like formatting & image selection.
